After Padir’s birthday get together yesterday, it’s beach time today!
Our tour guide was my cousin Bong. He knows a lot of people and good places to go, a very good combination for a large group like us (getting discounts on entrance fees). He told us he’s taking us to a beautiful white sand beach – the Muladbucad White Beach. What he didn’t tell us was it would take almost three hours to get there.
The road was winding, which caused the kids to get dizzy. Most of them were not used to travel long distances. Everyone was getting cranky.
Bong assured us the trip will be worth it.
Muladbucad White Beach. Definitely beautiful.
The beach was very relaxing. I could smell the fresh and salty air of the ocean. It was therapeutic to hear the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. I took a short walk with Chinirah to help her find shells she can bring back to America. I told her I was not sure if she would be allowed to bring in shells but she insisted in collecting some. Muladbucad White Beach is a paradise for tired souls like mine. The trip long and winding yet well worth it. I wished it was closer so we could have stayed longer as we had to shorten our stay to give more time for our trip going back . I plan to visit this place again on my next vacation to the Philippines.
Every time I stand before a beautiful beach, its waves seem to whisper to me: If you choose the simple things and find joy in nature’s simple treasures, life and living need not be so hard. – Psyche Roxas-Mendoza
